Description:

Logistics – the process of planning, implementing, and controlling transportation and storage of goods efficiently and effectively – is an important career field both in the U.S. and around the world.
Our guest speakers include Ms. Vicki Phillips who oversees the Supply Chain Management and Logistics Technology program at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute in eastern Pennsylvania. Vicki’s classroom is a 17,000 square foot warehouse where students learn to operate up to eleven types of forklifts. Joining Ms. Phillips is Mr. Jeff Rowe, Director of CTE for the Patterson Unified School District in central California who will discuss their relatively new logistics program and the way it is developing partnerships with local distribution centers including Amazon, Kohl’s, and Restoration Hardware.
Whether you currently operate a logistics program or are exploring possibilities, this is a webinar you won’t want to miss. This webinar is the ninth in a series covering aspects of NC3T’s Pathways System Framework™ with a special focus on Pathway Programs of Study.
